The grand master of tree biomechanics, Professor Claus Mattheck gives a lecture at the university information afternoon at the Bocholt campus of the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences.
In tropical temperatures, students were able to learn why everything breaks down and why trees and bones are absolute teachers in lightweight construction.
The lecture was organised by the Bionics Institute and the Junge Uni in Bocholt thanks to the support of the OTTO SPALECK FOUNDATION.
