The 5th Bionics Workshop at the Westfälische Hochschule in Bocholt once again offered impressive insights into the innovative power of bionics. The workshop showed how bionic approaches enable new, forward-looking solutions for challenges in technology and industry. Inspiring presentations by experts such as Dr. Falk Tauber. Leonie Beek, Max Seissler and Dr. Thomas Müller covered exciting topics ranging from soft robotics and textile bionics techniques to automation and the optimization of industrial fans. This provided the 160 participants with a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest developments and applications in bionics. A particular highlight was the `themed market`in the bionics laboratory, where the participants were able to experience current research projects up close and personal and engage in stimulating discussions with the experts. We would like to thank everyone involved for their great commitment and keen interest in this important contribution to promoting innovation in Westmünsterland. Special thanks go to the Business Development Agency for the Borken district (WfG), which, as a partner in the `Dialogue Innovation`series, made a significant contribution to the successful realization of the workshop.
